Default decent rotors?

So I just got another ranger about 2 weeks ago now, been tackling one thing at a time but it needs brakes and I want to do drilled/slotted brake rotors, I can't recall the ones I had on my old ranger but they worked awesome! Anyone know where to get some that are decent? I'd really appreciate it

Get something like these. Not too many holes and the holes are counter sunk to prevent cracking.

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SU...035L/?rtype=10

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SU...059R/?rtype=10

Anything with more holes than that or the holes are not counter sunk runs the risk of cracked rotors.

You will need to clean the holes occassionally so that they perform as intended. Brake dust will eventually clog the holes up.

I have the EBC crossed drilled rotors with the dimples and the green stuff brake pads...stops the 35's on a dime! Worth spending the extra money when your life may depend on it. lol

Ya that's what I was just looking at actually! I would like to do disc in the rear too, has anyone on here done the swap from drum to disc? Possibly getting a 8.8 rearend but just curious to see how difficult it would be to do?

I have an expo axle out back. still need to get matching rotors for the rear. that will come sometime later this fall probably. i'm lowered, so the expo axle was completely bolt in.

There are a few threads on doing a disc conversion. There's a how too and a couple others. Just run a search on rear disc conversion, it will give you all the hits you need.

Sweet thanks man ill give that a shot.
You guys think the swap is worth while? Ill be doing quite a bit of off roading later on the guy at the shop said its not really but what do you guys think? I'm kind of puzzled why he said it isn't....

Six of one half dozen the other in my opinion. I'm told discs perform better but from what I've seen on other people's vehicles, they require more preventative maintenance attention.

I'm perfectly happy with the drums my truck came with.
