Default 07 Ranger Handling (long post warning)

I’ve been a lurker for a little while now and have decided to post a concern of mine.
This past October I bought a 07 XLT 4x4 SC with only 20k on it. It is bone stock right down to the Goodyear RT/S tires.

My problem is this truck drives very “unsettled”. Every little low spot or imperfection in the road causes it to wander around, forcing the driver to constantly make corrections with the steering wheel. As if the suspension isn’t soaking anything up. At first I thought I wasn’t used to a small truck. However, my wife and father have also complained that it isn’t a very pleasant driving truck.

Even though it's not "pulling" to one side or another, I had it into a reputable Ford dealer for an alignment check. The tech told me that the alignment is right in spec. He also rotated and rebalanced the tires.

Has anyone here experienced this? I was planning on driving this truck a lot this summer. But I may have to look at another vehicle if I can’t get this corrected. I feel like I’m trying to wrestle a cat in a room full of rocking chairs.
Any advice would be helpful.

This can be a number of issues, first the truck only has 20K on it. Its still a baby. It can also be your sway bars, or your power steering. check to see all are in order.

I've checked the power steering, no leaks or tears in the boots. The sway bars are tight. No slop or play whatsoever.

What do you mean it's still a baby? Not being a smart ass, just asking.

I think he means your truck is barely broken into therefore it shouldn't have any issues with it, but there are some cases where the truck is just built on a friday and the quality isnt there
