Default big brake kit?

im wondering if there are any brake kits for an 01 ranger, with some better calipers and bigger rotors, maybe some stainless steel brake lines too. not looking for anything super fancy, but i dont want anything drilled...just slotted. if anyone has any info on this or knows of any kits that would work, please share the knowledge. thanks!

What kind of space do you have between the rims and the brakes you have now? I'm thinking you will be ok but just want to check. What size are you thinking of moving up to? I think stock is something like 11".

Why not just get better rotors then? Maybe some nice slotted ones that will prevent off gas build up and will keep the pads clean.

What size drums are on your truck now, most of the XL models only came with 9" Drums, swapping up to 10" Drum set-up would make a big difference in itself.

The OP's SuperCab should have 10" drums from the factory. I can't speak to every year and model but, as a general rule on later Rangers, the larger drums were an automatic upgrade with any of the following: SuperCab, 4x4, Edge, 4.0L.

The Cobra conversion is nice but it uses 13" front rotors. The practical limit for rotors in a 15" Ranger wheel is around 12" and even that is iffy with some 15's.

Ford changed over from 10.28" to 11.28" rotors on the 2WD's sometime around 2001MY but I'm not sure of exactly when. If the truck has the 10.28's, it might be possible to convert over to the larger ones. If it already has 11.28's as I suspect, there are aftermarket companies that claim to have better rotors available ($$$).

If it were mine, I'd start with a good set of pads and shoes (most bang for the buck) and upgrade the rotors if necessary. Better hoses should improve pedal feel but I wouldn't expect much reduction in stopping distance.
