Default Virabtion

I have a 98 Xlt V6
and when it gets to 2500 RPM's it starts to make a buzzing sound but only at 2500 Rpm's. Does any one know what that could be?

Is it when you are stead at 2500rpm in any gear? What if you rev to 3000 does it stop and then return when you coast down to 2500 again?

It only does it at 2500rpm, when it is below or above 2500 it does not do anything and sounds fine. its only at 2500rpm in every gear

mY official guess is that at 2500 rpm your truck reaches the resonant frequency of the drive-train and it's not properly dampened.

When i hit about 3k in mine i get a pretty good vibration to. I'll have to agree with Brandon. It's probably just when you hit the resonant frequency
