Dumb question about radiator fluid .

I have owned my 2008 ranger for just over a month now and i just popped the hood for the first time.... I know I know... no need for the "how you could you go that long spiel".

And I saw a little sticker near the grill that was yellow and had what looked to be a picture of the radiator fluid reservoir on it that had.

! 50%/50% on it. Is that sticker telling me that i should mix radiator fluid and water 50/50 or is it something else? I was told the optimal mix was like 60/40 unless you live somewhere its really cold then its like 70/30.

if necessary i will provide pics.

If you use a decent quality fluid 50/50 water/fluid mix is good enough.

you can buy a pre mix of 50/50

you can buy it premixed or by it straight and mix it with DISTILLED WATER, YOU CAN BUY A GALLON OF DISTILLED WATER AT THE STORE FOR $1..........make sure you look in the owners manual and get the right coolant........for where you live 50/50 is perfect......
