Check all of your hoses and your radiator. Check the hose to the coolant overflow for cracks. Could only leak under pressure.

Should really do a pressure check for the cooling system. Most radiators are pressurized between 10-14 psi or something like that. So you need a pressure tester. Some parts stores let you loan/borrow specialized tools.

How to do a pressure test.
thanks, I'm in a auto tech class at school. So I will talk to my teacher about it. =]

Ditto. Feeling pretty lame right now - Check Engine light came on,
pulled over, BONE dry coolant tank. Doh. It's been incredibly hot in St. Louis the last few weeks, so guessing a lot of water evaporated?
I poured in a gallon which went immediately to the radiator. No leaks. Drove it to Target and bought a gallon of 50/50 coolant, added it after the engine had cooled a bit. Hope everything is OK.... any ideas?

Waiting for the Check Engine light to go off. Hopefully tomorrow.
I'm a doofus. Check the damn fluids!

Well the check engine light probably came on because the engine basically went into "limp home mode" if it was overheating.

What was the gallon that you poured in before you went and got coolant?

In the morning, after its been sitting for a while, check the fluids, probably gonna need more.
Once everthing is full, start the truck, WITH THE RADIATOR CAP OFF! Its not going to leak or any of that.
Turn on your heat, then return to the engine bay.
Wait for the truck to heat up basically.
Once the truck is heated up, you will need to probably add more coolant being that the tstat has opened and coolant is now flowing. Do so untill the radiator is full.
Squeeze the upper rad hose, as to force air bubbles out of the system, you should do it at least untill you stop seeing bubbles come out of the filler neck in the rad.
Once all of the above is done, and fluid starts to gush out of the radiator, Replace the cap.
Fill the overflow to the recommended level

Let it run a few more minutes, then shut it down and look for leaks.

I would say get a new radiator cap soon, sometimes that could be the only problem you have, because coolant wont just evaporate away, If it did that, engines would be ticking time bombs, or more than they already are at least

If it was like mine, you could have a bad t stat and rad cap, which caused my seals to go in my water pump, causing the weep hole to start leaking, preventing further damage, luckily all i needed was a water pump.

Also Check your oil, if its a milky color, you probably have a blown head gasket, and coolant is leaking into your oil some how. More evidence of this would be a white smoke from the exhaust.

Also what engine does it really have? Judging by your sig, your not really sure.
