Electric Fans
Im looking to get the U/D pullies and doing the electric fan at the same time.
Anybody know what the best electric fan is off of a junked vehicle, the best electric fan is off the market, and which one of those would be better? This is for a 2003 3.0L V6. Also anyone done this before to where they have a write up for it on instillation? Thanks guys!

a lot of people pull taurus fans out. the 3.8 ones, and use those. as far as aftermarket, a fan is a fan as long as it pulls enough cfms then your good to go. i know black magic has a flex-a-lite for the ranger that is somewhere in the neighborhood of 2,800 cfms, and it will bolt up to the stock location, you tap some wires into the harness and add the thermometer.

Im probably going to look at the junk yard here for the fan. Is there any special wiring that I need to grab off the car with it? Are there certain things I will have to change with my truck to install it properly?

I was looking to do this too. I just need some help with the wiring and electronics. It's quite confusing.

I tried looking a how to on the 03 but i must be looking in the wrong places.
Im assuming when you do this too you have to take off the fan shroud from the readiator also.

Thanks guys! Looks complicated at first but I think ill be able to do it. If I can set up my LED system, im sure i can tackle this.
