ac question
I've been running around most of the early fall so far with my fan on the lowest setting and the temp in the mid range maybe a little lower some days. the other control is set to come out the dash vents and on the floor.
my question is has anyone else noticed an extreme amount of condensation coming out of their ac drain or is this normal for a 2.3l?

Maybe the evaporator core is icing up, and when you park the ice melts and releases an unusual amount of water. Most cars (not sure about the rangers, but probably) have a de-ice temperature switch in the evaporator core which shuts off the compressor if the evaporator drops below freezing. Maybe your's is faulty. Could be completely normal, though. If you don't need AC, try the vent-only or floor-only positions. That will save you some ga$.

Unless you're not exaggerating, it's probably normal.

You know what I have has somewhat of a similar issue.... I opened the hood, and all the tubes coming and going from the AC where frozen , with starch...... the AC was off and the engine running..... I turned the AC on and the pipes melted.......

LOL. . . . We all interpret things differently huh.
P.S. when the drier starts to fail you can notice an excess of build up and eventually it'll start to lose the ability to cool properly.
