Default Wheel Bearing torque spec.

Hi I need a wheel bearing torque spec for my 2002 Ranger 2 wheel drive. I've replaced the rotors and want to do it right.

Default Re: Wheel Bearing torque spec.

There are three steps for this.

1. Torque the nut to 17 to 25 foot pounds while spinning the rotors to seat the bearings.

2. loosen the nut 1/2 turn.

3. Torque the nut to 18 to 20 inch pounds while rotating the rotor.

You might have to tighten closer to the top of the range to get spindle hole exposed to put a cotter pin in.
