Exclamation Rubber burning smell..Back right tire?!?

I just got finished putting 33x12.50x15 on my 03 Ford Ranger XLT Supercab 4.0 V6. They needed a bit of trimming and adjustments to fit up front but other than that, they work perfect.

My concern is that everytime I get out of the vehicle, I smell this awful burning smell like rubber, near the back of the truck, more on the right side by the tire. The thing is that it was doing this when I had the stock tires on it.

My question now seems to be is what is going on with this smell? Where is it coming from? Could it be the tires? The Alignment? The Rotors or Brakes? I am stumped to figure out what is going on exactly with this smell....Any advice or answers would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Ryan

Talking Re: Rubber burning smell..Back right tire?!?

It was the rear end leaking spitting the gear oil all over the place. I got it checked out, and it ended up being the seal was cracked. Replaced it and it solved the problem, the front is leaking but not as frequently. Will be replacing soon!! Thanks for the information.
