Default Ford Escort ZX2

I know this isn't a website for a POS like a zx2 but I can't seem to find answers anywhere else on the web. So I thought hey what about all those super smart gents and ladies* over at FRF.

All I need is to replace a manual drivers side window. how the hell do I get the door panel off? Pretty simple right? NO!
Please help a poor sap who lost his way.

I always like my ZX2. I never had to take off the door panel, but this is what I found online.

Open the door. Remove all the platic "pops" holding the door panel on starting with the ones on the controls. Remove the contol panel first and unplug it. Then by pulling up and out pull off the door panel.

Hope that helps.

It's a manual window so there aren't any controls, but that should make it easier I hope. Thanks for the fast response. That's why I love this forum so much

I owned a ZX3 for 7 years, your questions have been answered correctly thus far, but if you have any more let me know.

Thanks for the help guys, and no doubt I will have more questions about this ZX2. I got so wrapped up in fixing the Ranger that I kinda slacked off on the car WOOPS! The PCV valve hose was crap for sure, the idle seems to be leveling out now that I replaced the valve and hose *note PAIN IN THE ASS TO GET TO!*, now to clean the MAF I was told NOT to clean the IAC as it will damage it. How can I avoid destroying it in the process.

not knowing the year of the zx2 and not knowing if all are the same, here is what I did to my daughters car,
the round housing on the driverside under the hood looks like a big canister that has a clamp around it the maf sensor is in there just take off the hose at both ends and remove the clamp unplug the maf sensor wire harnesss and use CRC mass air flow sensor cleaner ONLY...... spray it from the inside the canister do not remove the maf sensor there is no need to. good luck
another suggestion is to google the maf sensor for the year zx2 might show a picture

This is for a ford ranger but it is similar to cleaning.

Never heard of hurting the IAC by cleaning it. You can also check the ford ranger
