Default aftermarket intake product question...

has anyone ever tried out a SpiralMax? On my truck it would install in the hose after the filter. Its supposed to vortex the air so it mixes better with the gas and boom!! more power and better mileage. sounds like having your cake and eating it too. Although I used to have a Blazer with a Vortec engine which works on the same principle. It got 25-30mpg around town, and better on road trips. No lack of power. I'm just looking for feedback and opinions......

+ on the comments these type devices have been proven many times by reliable source (consumer guide, auto mags) that they don't offer any advantage and can actually reduce power and mileage.

I had a feeling the general consensus would tend towards the negative. I'm not saying otherwise, but I'm a don't knock it 'til ya try it kinda guy. So has anyone out there actually tried one these spiraltornadotwistervortex doodads? And willing to admit it?

Better off hooking a leaf blower to your intake and calling it a turbo.
All that thing will do is create turbulence in the induction path.
