Question Throttle Cable Mod Question

Okay, I found on here exactly how to do the mod from one of STL's stickys. I was able to fit four zip ties around the cable. The mod worked perfectly and really changed the response of the pedal.

My question is that after I put the zip ties on there, I started the truck, and wanted to see what happened. I noticed that when I press on the pedal the zip ties bunch up together and make the excess cable sticking out bend pretty sharply... Will this eventually cause the cable to break, or is this normal with the mod?

I have never really messed with a throttle cable before so I have no idea how strong it is, etc. Just worried that I will be replacing a throttle cable lol.

Thanks in advance for everyones help.

I tried to stagger them so the locks wouldnt cause the bend but I can get them tight enough for them to stay put. Its probubly a "J" looking bend, not sharp enough to be considered a "L", if that makes any sense.

... eh kinda don't like the sound of that either, but I probubly wouldnt notice the extra weight as little as it may be. I don't know about it tho as I have no idea how strong a throttle cable is, it looked brand new under there. after I put two on and seen how it was doing I attempted to cut them off, but didn't have anything on hand that would fit back there, and be precise enough to cut just the ties and not the throttle cable... lol

Correction on my last post***** I can't get them tight enough, not that I can.
