Default Aftermarket locking hubs

Hopefully this hasn't been discussed and I just didn't find it, but my question is about locking hubs. My 2004 Ranger XLT does not have stock locking hubs. I've never had a truck without stocks so I'm not sure about the application of after markets on a truck that didn't have them stock. I'm no mechanic, by far.

I want to slap some manual locking hubs on the front of my ranger, but I'm not sure how complicated a process this could be. Just to give it that little extra edge. This is my daily driver, but I have a tendency to go have some fun with it on a regular basis. It's kinda turning into my project truck, as well. If anyone could explain it to me or direct me to the right spot, I would appreciate it.

the only way to have selectable hubs on an 01+ ranger is to swap the hub assemblys and CV axles over to 98-00 hubs and CV's than get a set of AVM manual hubs. the 98-00 rangers had vacuum operated automatic hubs that require the AVM kit to convert them over to manual hubs. the 01+ rangers are equipped with whats called a "live axle" meaning everything up front is engaged all the time. its actually alot stronger set up than the 98-00 PVH hubs or manual hubs.
