Default hitch help...

My question is I carry a 14 ft kayak in the back of my truck, i just picked up a bed extender that hooks up to a 2 inch square tube hitch receiver.. I presently have a ball hitch on my bumper... if i remove the ball is there any attachments that can be used to hook it to the bumper.. the kayak only weight is about 55lbs... any ideas... thanks in advance.... I'm basically looking for the most affordable way to hook up my truck bed extender...

I would just do it right and go get a hitch put on, they are not that much and since that's all your using it for you wont need anything heavy duty. I am sure you could come up with some way to rig it with out a hitch but I say just get the hitch.

Agreed, go with the hitch. The only way you would be able to do anything with the bumper is to make something yourself or pay someone to do it.

If you are just looking for something light duty. You should find one of those bolt on receive hitches. They bolt to the bottom of your bumper. It would work great for the bed extender.

I wouldn't put 5,000 pounds on it but this is what I am talking about.

I wouldn't tow anything with it but def would work for the kayak.

You're welcome.

Have you thought on how you are going to hold the other part of the kayak on? Roof Rack or the foam kayak pads?
