They didnt offer flex fuel on the 2005 Rangers

These were the only ones with it
1999-2003 Ford 3.0L Ranger Supercab 2WD
1999-2000 Ford 3.0L Ranger Supercab 4WD
2000-2002 Ford 3.0L Ranger 4x2 extended cab pickups

Just saying it cant be flex fuel. If you go to any parts sites look up fuel pump it only shows 3 engines. 2.3L 3.0L 4.0L

Flex Fuel vehicles have to have a special fuel pump injectors and fuel lines to handle the ethanol in the fuel.

Here is a search CLICK result using cars.com I selected all vehicles that use E85 which is a flex fuel vehicle.

only ones that show up are
1999(121)
2000(160)
2001(38)
2002(45)
2003(124)

They have 1 2007 listed but they person listing it has it wrong.

The only advantage to having flex fuel vehicle is that its cheaper other than that it is 100% useless.

Very true.

A flex fuel truck can go the same distance a non flex fuel truck can go. Only difference is the price they paid. I believe the flex fuel also burns a little faster.

True,
It makes me laugh when people say they buy it cause it is better for the environment, people are ignorant to the fact that the way its produced is highly inefficient and the process actually burns up more fossil fuel than it creates, not to mention how in reality it is just a way to get rid of our surplus of corn haha.

Sorry this is irrelevant to the thread

Yeah, and not only that but they corn could actually be used to feed starving people. E85 was a grossly dumb idea, especially since the government wasted tons of money funding it. I read somewhere that even if all the farmland in the US was converted to grown corn we would still only have enough E85 for about half of our gas usage.
