No, the "courtesy wipe" feature is clearly outlined in the manual.
must be a new feature, that sucks if it is, it sounds like a pain.

I've done that before
If you press in on the handle quickly enough you can get only one swipe.
If you press in and hold it for like 2 or 3 seconds it will spray the windshield and wipe 3 times as explained above.

Whereas in the summertime I think it will be a great feature... you know you spray your windshield and then a bunch of stray fluid from your wiper arms splash back up on your clean dry windshield.

The workaround is great though, I'll try it on the way to work tonight.

if you arent already using rain-x you should try it. i use the rain-x washer fluid and it applies rain-x whenever i spray my windshield and it helps with the salt water spray in the winter.

Thanks I'll grab some over the weekend... what about also using the rain-x windshield treatment? or is that overkill?

I like the defrost washer fluid for the winters. It's a lot easier to spray the wiper fluid to melt ice on your window than to have a window with sand/salt kicked up on it and you can't wipe it off because your fluid will freeze.

Yall just remember, rainx is alcohol based. That means you have to use an alcohol based cleaner to clean the windshield after you apply rainx. If you use standard ammonia based household glass cleaner on top of the rainx, you'll have a greasy mess on your hands.

nearly every window washer fluid is alcohol based. besides, the alcohol evaporates almost immediately after being applied. ive used windex on my windshield 1000 times and never had an issue.

I know GM's have a Mist setting which is a single swipe of the wipers. It's a momentary switch, to activate it, you turn the switch backwards. T-birds/Cougars (89-93, maybe 94-97 too, but not sure) had a really weird switch, that had OFF in the middle!
