Default 2.3l not firing on 2 cylinders

Hey everyone, I'm new here.

My 2003 ranger 2.3 std 2wd suddenly stopped firing on the 1st and last plugs. I had to drive it 75 miles home. I Held my breath breath but I made it. It has 137,000 mi and never been tuned up. The check engine light started flashing but I have no way to check the code.

any help will be appreciated, murry
