Default Master Cylinder

I have a question about the master cylinder on my truck. I have had a leak in the rear brake line for awhile now that I have clamped off a couple of inches from the master cylinder. I just did a brake job on the fronts a couple weeks ago and they are fine now. Why does the front brake line coming out of the master have a 3/16" fitting while the rear looks like it has a 1/4"? I don't really want to try doing double flares so I was just going to go to fleet farm and pick up some lengths and couple them together and just bypass the RABS. Anybody know what size fittings the splitter in the back has? Thanks for any help.
