Default cruise control

Years ago there used to be a cruise control that you could buy that really was just a throttle lock, but it was simple to install, just a box with switch on it and a cable that went down to the floor and attached to the accelerator pedal. It grounded through the brake light, so when you pushed the brake down, it lost it's ground and cancelled. Has anyone ever heard of a similar setup? Scruffybeast

Concerning the possibility of installing stock cruise control on my 98 which hase none, this sounds like a big deal. Also, my truck is a 3.0 which will possibly have different throttle body linkeage. Thanks for the reply. Scruffybeast
