High Pitched Squealing Noise
I went wheeling earlier today after work with some friends. As I pulled onto the road when we finished I heard a bunch of thunking, I pulled over and there were a bunch of weeds around the driveshafts. After I got them all off I went on my way and heard A high pitched squeaking or squealing sound or even like there were still some weeds going around the driveshaft and brushing the muffler. When I got home I crawled underneath and pulled all the grass and weeds, mud , etc. out. then I sprayed it all down with the hose. but the noise still seems to be there. I am worried that it is the transmission or something. with the gears. It only seems to do it going forward and at lower speeds (5-30 mph) then either the wind gets too loud for me to hear it or it goes away, I'm not sure. It's a 2002 XLT 4x4 4.0
I know I mentioned a lot but I don't want to leave anything out.
Thanks ahead of time.
I will see if I can get a video of the sound later tonight when I get back home.
