Fell the radiator to the top and fill the tank halfway. Start the engine with cap off and let it warm up. Once it starts to warm up and the t-stat opens, it will probably take a big gulp and you can add some more. At this point, put the cap back on and you should be good to go. I can't tell you how much because I don't know how much you drained out. Figure on a few gallons at least.

when I drained mine and flushed I bought 2 gallons antifreeze this was not a 50/50 mix
so if you buy the pre-mixed you do not add water to it it is already in there. but if you buy just antifreeze then make it a 50 /50 mix by adding water to it

exactly, don't put 100% coolant in your radiator, and 2 gallons is enough, what I do is take a empty milk gallon and pour half coolant and the rest with water (distilled) than i pour, if I need more, I do the same thing with the other half of coolant, i do this until I have fulfilled the requirement.

Also, if you live in the great white north, you might need to increase the proportion of coolant to decrease the freeze temperature. The bottle will indicate how much for what temperature rating.

I just buy the 50/50 mix. That way I don't have to worry about getting the ratio right and I'm good to go. Good point on living further north though. You might need a different mix for those who live closer to the Canadian boarder or in Canada.
