was told today that my right tie rod is bad(I was going to get it aligned but they said there was no point until tie rod gets done) Actually I wanted my steering wheel to return to center. The alignment seems alright, but the steering wheel is off.
Anyway, I figure I should do both tie rods. Do you slip the boot back on the inside end? I haven't worked on rods with a boot over the end.
I am assuming that it screws into something under the boot?

I think I found my answer
