Default cruise control button cover

I have a 96 Ranger with the cruise control button on the left side of the steering wheel the cruise function works fine but the "on" button cover has a hole in it. It looks like it has 2 parts to it a top and bottem can you just take the top part off and get another piece to fit from a junkyard? I called Ford they told me I would have to buy the whole cruise control set up from them.

Had a similar problem on my 2002 XLT. I found a used pair on an online auction site, you know the one, and installed in just a few minutes. less than $10 to fix.
