you do not need a puller. you can remove the entire steering column/wheel without taking the wheel off. there are 4 nuts under the dash, and then one bolt that runs through the shaft right at the fire wall. whatever you do, DO NOT turn the wheel while the steering column is disconnected. this will almost positively result in a broken clock spring.
if you have removed the wheel already, it is splined and will only go on one way. once you slide it down what you can, just put the bolt back in.
