I'm interested in swapping my 2.9L out and tossing in a 2.3L from a 92 ranger. I've been poking around for a general idea of how difficult this would be, it sounds like I will need a new transmission. I don't have the time to be welding new mounts and all that jazz. It looks like the 2.6, 2.8, (obviously the 2.9), and 4.0 are great cantidates for swappage. Let me know if my understanding on this swap is clear, Thanks party animals.
