I've taken many engine classes getting my mechanical engineering degree, please take my word. I'd hate to see someone loose an engine trying to find 5 extra horsepower that aren't really there. It's just not worth it.
So what does it take to get 1/4 cup of water into the cylinder?

Into one yes. More than likely it'll end up in 2 or 3, so 1/2 or 3/4 cup total. It'll flood into which ever intake valves are open in the given time the water is in the intake manifold.

Fun fact lol....
There is/was such a process called water injection. A vaporized water stream would be injected in the intake runner to help cool the charge, making the air denser (more power). It was common on WWII aircraft.

You have to admit, the use of flexible dryer duct is flawed because dryer lint will clog the filter real quick.

But with some fabric softener sheets instead of a filter, the exhaust will smell mountain fresh.

On this topic how do you setup those cowl hoods on lmc? I've always wondered since I doubt they come with adapters and junk to run that cool air into the intake.
