no heat

I have an 09 ranger 2.3 4 cyl the other day it was warm and i could not get it to cool ac comp was running and all, it just put out hot air. Now the last two days it has been cold and and the heat won,t work everything seems to work fine the temp knob has no effect i have read that there is some sort of diverter that directs the air to the heater core .It is aparently electric as i see no cables. how can i determine if it is the control or the servo?? is the servo mounted on top of the heater housing behind the glove box ? Thanks for any help Larry

Thanks ,looked at the trouble shooting guide and took off the servo, reconnected the wiring and now it works . Put the module back on and its working great , don,t know what the problem was but for now its working.Why can't we just have the old cables as we used to? Thanks again for the help !

I'm not sure what models/years got the cable actuators vs the electronic ones. It doesn't appears to be based on year so who knows.
