Question Stalling out when I cut the wheel

I was just wondering if anyone else has had the same issue of whenever I cut my wheel all the way, my truck stalls out. Wondering if itís just a power steering issue, and if youíve been in my shoes, how you dealt with it. Itís bearable, just goddamn annoying when Iím trying to park. Iíve got a 2000 Ranger with about 149k miles if that helps at all.

What engine, and what is the idle speed?

I am still waiting for a "When I recline my seat fully the engine stalls" thread.

Turning the wheel until it hits the stops puts a strain on the power steering pump. Perhaps your idle is low enough that the engine stalls. Most of today's engines do not have adjustable idle. Yours may have an idle air controller that could be sooted up or a soot problem in your throttle body. When you feel the steering wheel hit the stops, back off a bit so the pump doesn't bind up.
