Default What would cause a ABS "low hyd. fluid" error code when fluid is fine?

I have a "low hyd. fluid" ABS error code in my 96R. The hyd. fluid is fine. I have been fighting this issue for years with no solution. I have replaced every component and sensor in the 2w ABS system over the years. Sometimes the ABS light stays off for months, but now it is permanently on.

How can I bypass the issue and still have the ABS brakes work. Perhaps jump wires in the brake pressure sensor/Master cylinder area?

Any help appreciated with this long standing problem.

Glenn

Are you actually having issues with the brakes?

The brakes have been bleed - no difference. Brakes are fine, but 2w rear ABS braking does not work.

I wonder if the float in my master cylinder could possible be bad. How can I by-pass the float reading low signal at the connector? I would like to try and see if that is the problem.

Thanks for any help.

My diff. sensor is only 1-2 years old, but I think I will replace it and see if it makes any difference.

I forgot to respond to this posting from 2020 - my bad. The entire problem I had for several years was corrosion in the master cylinder low fluid connector. One or more of the three wires was corroded and not making contact with the master cylinder connector. I installed a new connector and my ABS issues disappeared. A simple fix to a problem that I had for years.
