Default Upgrading front brakes ?

I was reading online about going from a single piston caliber to a dual piston brake caliper on my 1994 ranger. It says 1995-1997 all has 2 piston calibers. Has anyone else done this upgrade and if so was your brakes better. The reason why I was thinking about doing it because the stock brakes don’t hold the truck very good at the starting line at the track

What pads are you using? Consider switching to the cheapest organic pads you can, since you can't get quality pads hot enough to have great cold-bite performance.

Otherwise, the dual piston caliper might be an improvement, but I believe you need some other parts to properly complete the upgrade.

Just pads from the auto parts store nothing special. Finding the parts used I’m looking at a couple hundred dollars to maybe 1,000 so I don’t think I’m going to waste money on doing it because I have the truck up for sell.

Here you go buddy. They have a ton of info on brake upgrade/swaps. Just look around at some of the other threads on this site.
