Hey, there gang.

New member - old Ranger owner.

Currently, I am in a 2012 F150 and I promised myself a year without car payments, that ends in the spring. I REALLY want to get back into a Ranger (I've owned three) BUT...

I also own a 26-foot travel trailer (dry weight 4800 lbs) loaded weight at 6000 lbs and I am a firm believer that Mr. Murphy and that dude Mahem really do exist.

My questions - OPEN AT ALL is this:

o I KNOW the 2019 Ranger, with Max Towing package will pull 7800 lbs. but would YOU pull a 7000 lbs trailer around Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana? I and the bride only go camping AT MOST 4 times a year, so I am more interested in using the truck as my everyday vehicle and gas milage on 696 in my main concern.

All opinions are greatly appreciated and nothing is out of bounds.

I don't know your area at all, so I can't answer that. Personally I would have no issue pulling something that was under the rated capacity, 4 times a year. It's not like you are planning on climbing the Rockies with it right?

Correct, I live in the Detroit, Michigan area (fairly flat - few mountains in the Great Lakes). Furthest I wanna take it is southern Ohio (Hocking Hills) or Da UP (eh).
