Hey all,

This past May I bought a 2004 Ranger XLT V6 with the FX4 package and 96,000 miles on it - it's been a great little truck with the only problem being the thermostat needing replacement a few weeks ago.

That was the only issue I've had with it until now...but I'm not even sure this new issue is a bonafide problem.

When I first got the truck and would shift it into 4x4 HIGH, the 4x4 dash light would illuminate and stay on so long as I had 4x4 engaged.
However, I've noticed over this past week that when I shift into 4x4 HIGH the dash light blinks only briefly and then shuts off.

I'm unsure if 4x4 HIGH is actually being engaged and there's some gremlin in the dash light that's preventing the light from staying on, or if 4x4 HIGH isn't being engaged at all and the dash light is simply reflecting this.

As an aside, when I shift into 4x4 LOW the dash light illuminates with the 4x4 LOW light and stays on until I shift out of it.

Thoughts?
