Default Tuners/chips

Anyone know if the tuners such as the Superchips Flashpaq, Diablosport Predator 2, and the Edge tuner that claim 20hp gains and better mileage are actually worth a damn? Or would i be spending $300+ on nothing? Thank you.

If you've done nothing else to the engine, you're unlikely to gain anything. You're engine is already tuned for the best power and efficiency. It's not like ford purposely takes away hp or fuel economy. The only time a non factory tune helps is when your engine has been modified. Even then, tuners like those just come with generic programs. To get the best performance you need to have a custom program for your specific engine.

Now some of them can do other things like change transmission shift points and modify other functions, even program keys. But if you just want it cause you think youll get 20hp on a stock engine you are wasting your money.
