Leaking transmission fluid
Recently I got a truck from my dad that has been sitting in his backyard for years. Was in good running shape before hand. Last weekend I decided to dig it out and get it healthy running for camping season. I replaced all the fluids, checked the brakes, ect ect...Took it for a test drive to go get some new gas in it and around 8 minutes into the drive I hear a grinding noise around the middle of the truck and started leaking transmission fluid everywhere and left a puddle at the gas station. Tried to drive it home but it got to the point where I had no power and had to push it to the nearest parking lot and topped the fluid up again enough to get it home. Any suggestions? I'm by all means not a vehicle guy at all but the leak was coming from behind the engine area and was a pretty heavy leak.
