Default Can I throw a cam in a stock engine?

I figure I have to replace the valve springs, maybe I'll get a high performance head if I find one.
Can I put a cam in without upgrading the heads?
Heres the specs..
Make:*Ford
Engine:*2000cc (83-87), 2300cc (74-89)
Camshaft Type:*Mechanical Flat Tappet
RPM Range:*4000 to 7500 RPM
Intake Valve Lift:*.530"
Exhaust Valve Lift:*.550"
Advertised Intake Duration:*286°
Advertised Exhaust Duration:*296°
Intake Duration @ .050":*250°
Exhaust Duration @ .050":*260°
Lobe Separation:*106°

You dont need a 'high performance' head for a cam upgrade even if they existed. But yes you can upgrade the cam on a stock engine, you won't be adding enough power to warrant any other upgrades. However I think it may have to be tuned.

Ford Racing Performance Parts had made a Hi-Po head available for the 2.3 many years ago; I don’t know if it’s still available... currently on eBay there is a listing for a head which could fit, Boport Stage 3 Ported 2.3 Ford Turbo etc etc. Price is at $1,995.00 US plus shipping and core charge. It includes a cam, and they have other options available.

Lots and lots of performance parts for the 2.3. Search for pony stock racing classes.

I won't guarantee that everything here will fit your engine. You know how Ford is in not making all engines the same.
