Default Fan Clutch Pulley removal

Hope someone can give me a suggestion. I have a 2005 2.3 4cyl, 2wd, stndrd. trans. with a/c and power steering Ford Ranger XLT. I have removed the timing chain cover and is ready to install the new one. One problem though I for the life of cannot get the fan clutch pulley off, the pulley that the fan clutch threads onto. I have a 3 prong puller on it and have applied lubricant for rusted parts and some heat. If more pressure is applied to the puller it may break. I'm scratching my head. Please help if anyone can. At a loss.

If im understanding this you removed the timing cover with the fan removed but pulley still attached? Before going any further did you remove the valve cover and install the cam alignment tool before removing the crank pulley to get the cover off? If not you may have just damaged your engine... If you did use the special cam tools then according to my manual once you remove the clutch with the clutch wrench the pulley is press fit behind it and locked by the clutch so the only trick to removing it is with the pulley puller... Id try cleanin and soaking it longer and then applynslow steady force amd giving it a slight tap every 1/4 turn.

My F-150 w/ inline 6 cyl. had a fan that was taper lock fit. Could it be that? You just shocked it with a air chisel with a punch tool in it. Two burps and it was off.
