Default 99 Ranger 4.0 drum brakes to disc

Is it possible to replace the drum brakes with disc brakes on a 99 ranger 4.0 and if so what would I need as far as parts? Or are there any kits that would fit without a major undertaking? Thanks

SSBC makes a kit:

There is also a fairly simple way to do it with Mustang parts and a bit of fab work. I'm not sure what the rules are for posting links to other forums, so just google "ford ranger drum to disk conversion" and view either one of the first two links that come up.

I used the ssbc kit
The directions are shit and they sent me the wrong item twice but made it right eventually.
I don't have my truck back on the ground yet so all I have are pictures of what it looks like

Bummer about the issues. I'm still on the fence about a rear disc conversion, so I'd be interested to know how it all works out for you!

Keep in mind that the Explorer axle swap may be a better/cheaper option to get rear disk brakes.

I swapped in a Explorer brake setup on my Ranger axle and it was way worth all I invested in it.

I have a rare Ranger axle in my truck though so its either find one (from a Level 2) or swap in a Explorer axle to get that type of setup.

There is also the Mustang disc brake conversion which is almost a direct bolt on for your stock axle.
