Default Replacing Rusted Out Bed Crossmember

So when I bought my Ranger, the dealer covered up a small rust hole in the bed that just happened to be right over the crossmember (don't buy from Fred Beans). Long story short, the hole is now the size of a tennis ball and spreading, and the crossmember is rusting through. I know a guy who can do the repair for me, but for the life of me I can't find a replacement crossmember for Rangers. I found a patch kit for the bed itself, so that's not an issue. Any suggestions?

Honestly, I'd start hunting craigslist for rangers being parted out and just get a new-to-you bed. I helped a buddy of mine replace all of the crossmembers on the bed of his OBS Silverado once. It was a miserable job and we ended up finding a lot more cancer than we thought. Looked good when we were done, but I don't think either one of us would do it again.

If you're set on fixing your current bed, some square tubing will work for the cross member. You may have to reinforce/sleeve the hole that the bed bolt goes through though. (If there is a bed bolt in the effected area that is)
