Default truck turns off then starts right back up and runs fine

posted this an a different section earlier....I picked my ranger up 2 and half years ago with 58,000 miles. It now has 96k and has never had any issues like this. This past Sunday, I was backing out of my parking spot from my apartment when the truck just turned off or died. I was like what the heck was that about! I put in park and start it right back up with no problems. I was hoping it was some freak thing. It was driving fine for about 30 min, no problems or hiccups what so ever. I pull into the Mcdonalds drive through lane, and waiting there..bam..it shuts off. I just started it right back up, it drove fine the rest of the day. This is my daily driver. The truck did not give me any problems for 3 days. Yesterday, backing out of my spot from work it died and then started back up. Today, no problems so far. The truck does not stall or seem to choke and hesitate till it dies. Its more abrupt, kinda like I just hit a kill switch or something. I'll also add that the truck has not shut off while actually driving on the road. Only when starting and backing up or first placing it into drive, and at stand still..
So far doing a little research, I have seen anything from crank sensor, ignition switch, fuel pump, computer etc. I'm just checking to see if anybody else has experienced any of these exact symptoms.

First place I would check would be to make sure your connections on your battery and grounds are clean and tight.

Thanks. It was the crank sensor. Part was $40 and took about 5 min to install. Truck started to really give me problems this weekend. It was just driving erratic, and shut off twice on me at a light. It actually started to hesitate and stall. I really didn't want to mess with a fuel pump which is what I initially thought it was. Doing some research I read that bad fuel pumps are hard to get the vehicle started, and mine started like a champ first crank every time it died.
