Default Rear Drum Brake Overheating

The passenger rear brake drum runs hotter than it should be even under little to no braking. I replaced all brake components on the rear axle last spring and noticed the overheating after replacing everything but didn't do anything correct it. It finally got hot enough to warp and now I feel the vehicle shuttering (for lack of a better word) while braking. I'm wondering what may be the cause of this. When I installed all new the new components, I adjusted the shoes to have a slight drag on the drums as I've been taught before. Not sure if there is a bind somewhere that is not allowing the brake to completely disengage or perhaps the single rubber brake line has collapsed internally and isn't allowing fluid to back flow once the pedal has been release. Could that be a possibility? In case you were wondering I also replaced the e-brake line as well and about the only that isn't new is the rubber brake hose.
Looking for some suggestions... THANKS!

Swap the drums from one side to another, if the passenger side is still overheating then swap your brake shoes from one side to another.
If the problem follows the drums or shoes then you have found your problem.

I had that happen two years ago, turns out a set of shoes were not built right and caused them to drag excessively.

I would look at your Proportional Valve if you have one. My sister had the same with her car, and it turned out the brakes had a proportional valve that was clogged up due to nasty brake fluid.

^This, although when I dealt with it I swapped out the *new* shoes with the old one for the confirmation of screwy Raybestos shoes. The other tip off that the *new* Raybestos shoes was to go out in the morning, jack up the rear end and spin each tire, checking for drag. As expected, there was light contact. Then go drive a bit, get out and feel the drums. Hot. Then, the next morning after everything was cooled off, once again, no drag. Something to think about.

I think I've corrected the issue... just simply out of adjustment. I had the the drums turned and backed off the self adjuster. Drum doesn't get hot now after normal braking. Doesn't shutter as bad anymore. Thanks!
