Looks like a clean truck, not sure if that mileage is high or low for that year. I had a 93 four banger 4X4, and now drive a 2011 V6 auto, similar to the one you are looking at. Try and get the dealer to give you some kind of warranty on it, assuming they have checked it out good. Oh yea, it should have had the transmission fluid changed at 60,000 on mine anyway, and see if the serpertine belt has been changed. I like/liked mine and black is pretty just hard to keep clean.

I would listen to the timing chains, they were an issue on the early sohc 4.0

4x4, 4 doors, power equipment group and a 4.0

All things that I don't have. Good truck.

I think its pretty clean but i also think its a bit overpriced. Atleast in my area that would problably sell for 4-6k. 6k max, but its not even like super low on miles. Overall in pretty good condition though

IMO miles have nothing to do with condition. It's age. Forum member "rangergambler" has like 211,000 miles on his 2011 Ranger, no issues at all.

My old 96 Ranger burned a quart of oil a month with roughly the same miles.

ehh its give and take. I know rangers are pretty robust but mileage is a general referral to how expensive any future maintenance will be. To me a 2011 ranger with 200kmiles tells me the truck has been a nonstop workhorse like a rental or fleet truck. With my luck the damn thing will blow up as soon as i get my hands on it even if it had no problems prior. Engines have to wear out eventually no matter how much maintenance you perform on it. Id personally feel more assured driving a 96 with 160k cross country than a 2011 with 200k. If it hasnt given out on any engine components yet it shouldnt be very long before they all start racking up. Of course this all just my prespective though.

I think for around the 8k mark OP should be able to get an 06ish+ ranger with the same specs.

It's a nice truck, the price is pretty high though. I bought basically the same truck but four years newer (in 2013) and with 10000 fewer miles for a lot less. It was also from a dealer.
