03 Edge Regular Cab 2wd
Just got an 03 ranger edge 2wd 5 speed 3.0L regular cab. Just in general, what is great to do with it? Lift it, upgrade the interior, motor upgrades, transmission upgrades. Looking for ideas. I'm more into off roading than racing and this truck is bone stock. Just looking for ideas to upgrade it a bit. I love prerunners and baja trucks way more than retardedly lifted mud trucks. Let me know folks. Thanks

Get some kicker speakers because stock kind of suck. You hear the static when you try to bump

Love the Kicker brand and wouldn't get anything Else. They're cheaper than any other good speakers/subs and they can definitely compete with sets that are twice the price. Do y'all think I should post photos as I'm doing this stuff?

What're the thoughts on a 3 inch front lift and 2 inch rear lift?

Yeah it is the Edge. I've found torsion keys for sale but for the cost of the keys there is a 3 inch front and 2 inch rear for sale at the same cost.

But buying keys is making a deal with the devil. Look up torsion keys in the search section and read about all the harmful effects they have.

That's what I've read and that's why I found the 2x3 lift kit. I'm not much for torsion bar lifts period but I don't see much harm in simply cranking the bar to lift it the 2 inches and not use keys.

Oh, I didn't get what this meant. Haha and yes these cheap little ebay companies screw you because they sell cheap stuff. Spindles are always a good option too.

Re: 03 Edge Regular Cab 2wd
Looking around at rims. Found some 17x8 with 10 mm off set. Also found 17 x 9 with -12 mm offset. Which would be better / fit better. Both would get 31-33 inch tires depending on what lift I decide to do. Because I will have all the parts (lift, rims, tires, etc.) Before I even lift it. No point in lifting just to leave stock wheels and 28 inch tires on. Thanks

What size tires did you clear after this lift? I'm looking at 31-33 inch tires but I'd like 10.5 wide tires no matter the height. Would it have room to turn within the fenders or would it scrub without an extended fender?

No downfall whatsoever. I've been on a few off road trips with them with no ill effects. If you are not familiar with lift spindles, what they essentially do is lower the mounting position of the front wheels (the snout is mounted 3-4" lower compared to a stock spindle) and the rest of the suspension remains in the stock location. Your camber should not be affected but it wouldn't hurt to at least get your alignment checked after they are installed.
You will easily clear a 33x10.5 with spindles. I had zero rubbing with those tires (my wheels had 4" of backspacing).
