Crate Motors

Have any of you bought and installed a crate motor? If so, what kind of company did you go with and what kind of luck have you had? My girl is showing low compression

I'd go with Motorcraft, 3 yr unlimited mileage warranty!

Definitely stay away from Jasper IMO, heard BAD things bout them.

S&J has a 7yr warranty which seems to be the best around....but they are across the country which worries me if I run into any warranty issues. I have heard bad things from guys about Jasper but have had two mechanics told me to go Jasper hands down. what have you heard about them that's negative? Thanks for the reply!

Not familiar with S & J..........

I got an ATK from a local store that ordered it in for me. Installed it with the help of a friend.

No major problems with installation. No problems whatsoever with the motor, and it's been over 2 years and almost 40k miles. It came with 3 year, unlimited mile warranty.

Seems like I paid about $1800 for the long block after the core return.
