In my '94 Ranger XL 2WD 4-banger sometimes the ABS light will be on when I'm driving, sometimes it will be off, I'm not sure if the light ON means the ABS is working or if the light OFF means the ABS is working. It just has a mind of it's own when it wants to be on or not.

Do I want the light to be on or off? If it's on or off what does that mean?

You want it to be off. When it comes on it means something is wrong with the ABS system.

Hmm, alright thanks for the link. I'll pull the sensors in the shop tomorrow and see if I can clean them off.

Reply to david- I would look on eBay but if push comes to shove pm me and I will pull one from a ranger at the auto auction and ship it to you. Sounds excessive but it depends on how bad you need it
