Default Throttle noise valve

Very time I give gas on my 2.3L engine I hear a tapping sound coming near my valve cover gasket near the firewall could it be that my valves need to be adjusted?

You might have alot of carbon built up on top of your pistons. Have you tried anything like B-12 ? Also, you might post in the 2.3 forum.
