Default other "simple" mods

Stumbled upon the "throttle cable mod" today as I was browsing over my lunch break... haven't done it (don't know if I need to yet, I will be looking at it over the weekend, my throttle responses seems decent tho now)

...but it got me thinking, are there any other "simple" or "cheaper" mods like this I should be checking out for my truck?

I picked my truck up about a week and a half ago, has some aftermarket stuff done to it already, but should I be looking for anything else?

I did also see the "turn signal mod" ... which I may also do, since having the orange corners literally doing nothing seems pointless to me. (Also thought it was a law that turn signals had to be visible from the sides, but I guess not?)

thanks.

Turn signals do not need to be visible from the side, but since 1968 all vehicles had to have side lights for safety. That is what the orange lights are, your front side lights & is why the tail lights wrap around the side of the truck bed, your rear side lights.

Make sure all the "mods" are practical and useful and working. Recover your headliner board, do a full tuneup and seafoam it...in the tank, in the intake manifold, and in the crankcase @ the next oil change. That should help you keep your bux in your pocket and give you a sense of satisfaction that buying gimcrack mods won't provide...just in case you get the urge to gimcrack your ride.

I hear you. Not into gimmick mods... I don't consider throttle or turn signal mods gimmicky.

I've looked into sea foaming my car, will have to look into it for our trucks.

Do not seafoam. Snake oil... an explorer OHC is easy and useful honestly. Another one is the fog light mod. Easy and doesn't cost a dime.

Another simple mod would be 06+ mirrors. Easy to do and takes maybe an hour

If you want an easy running, easy keeping engine with good fuel efficiency and clean internals than Sea Foam is indeed snake oil...I've used it as labeled in every vehicle for the past 20 years with good results, but then I like to care for my tools.

What's better about 06+ mirrors? Are they larger or?

Yes they are larger and provide more visibility and I personally think they look better than the flag mirrors that originally come on these. And ohc = overhead console
