Default Steering problem

Ok, I not sure how to explain this correctly but here it goes. I have a '91 Ranger XLT 4x4 that I just got for free and when I drove it the truck pulled to the left. When I went to correct it by turning the wheel to the right, the truck started to pull to the right, but not as bad as to the left. I'm not a huge steering expert, especially with the old style steering, so I need someone to help me with a starting point.

Thanks

Sounds like alignment might be off

that problem would be the toe-in, or lack thereof. Basically, all cars generally are set with the front tires VERY slightly angled in towards each other so the vehicle tracks straight down an even road... if there is a zero or negative toe-in than that would be where you are getting the poor tracking problem most likely. It could be worn bushings or other less common causes, but most likely the tow-in. Take it to an alignment shop and have em check it.
