Default Need Parking Brake Help!

I've got a 93 and since I got it back in April the parking brake hasn't worked. The pedal just hangs basically, it does catch the teeth but doesn't engage at all. My cables are really loose under there, but I don't see any difference in them when I engage or disengage the parking brake. Is that something that could be fixed easily? Is bit a big deal for me, but I don't always trust my tranny on hills lol

Also just noticed that the cable running to the right drum isn't in it, probably broke. How hard is it to fix something like that?

Not hard to fix a broken cable. If they are hanging loose, they are probably all either stretched or stuck or something.

The cable on my 2000 is in 3 pieces. One runs from the pedal to just in front of the rear wheel well. Then it splits off into a section that runs to driver's side and a section that runs to passenger's side.

You'll need to pull the wheel and drum to access the connections there, but it's pretty straight forward once you're looking at the internals inside the drum.

Thanks for the info. I was really hoping I was wrong, it seems like every time I fix one thing I break another, and having no brakes doesn't sound like fun look
