Default Installing fuel cell and inline fuel pump

I'm gonna install a fuel cell in my 1990 4.0. The truck came with a fuel safe cell but the liner rotted. The cell was a 18 gallon with a internal pump but I'm not ready to spend the crazy amount of money for the liner and pump. I got a 8 or 11 gallon summit racing cell I forget what I figured it was. Anyways I want to hook up a inline fuel pump and filter. From what I've searched the pump needs to produce between 30-40 psi so I was gonna go with 35 psi. The cell Isn't deep enough to use the factory pump or id use it. Can anyone suggest a pump that won't break the bank. I just want to get the truck on the road and registered. The truck has been sitting for 10 years and runs good around the block. I'm waiting for every gasket to start leaking though haha. I also want to try and get a fuel gauge for it. Thanks for the help. Chris in Idaho.

Default Re: Installing fuel cell and inline fuel pump

Can you shorten the pickup and re-use the pump from the old tank ? Are you mounting it in the bed ? I was gonna say why not run the tank without the silly enclosure and hang it on straps. Then I saw the cage and nose bar.

Best of luck in reviving the little beast.
